Javma cover 2compr.jpg (21554 bytes)Here it is! Kristin gets her art published!

From the cover insert of the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association JAVMA (March, 2003) - "'Cow Boys' was completed in 1989 by artist Kristin Lusk of Sutherlin, Oregon. The oil-on-canvass painting depicts Lusk's keen eye, sense for realism, and love of animals. The emotions of her subjects are the unspoken beauty in each piece. Along with oil painting, the artist has explored many other art forms, including woodcarving, ceramics, and cement sculpture. Currently, she is completing a set of six life-size Pegasus cement sculptures."

Congratulations, Kristin!

Come by the roastery and see Kristin's fine work on display. Also, come by and see our new coffeehouse being constructed. We hope to have our new home finished by early Summer.

Thanks for the new recipe, Carl.

Kristin is the "Queen of the Bean"

We have had many new customers come to our roastery and website. I hope to add their names to our news list soon. We greatly appreciate your business and support!

Hello to Bob Pollock, of Roseburg, Oregon, who writes - "Thank you for the interesting information about the coffee and about Hartmann's coffee plantation. My wife and I are members of the Umpqua Valley Audubon Society, and we will pass the information on to other members of the organization. We're glad that you are selling coffee that is grown in an environmentally responsible manner, and we'll do what we can to support you." Thanks again, Bob, we greatly appreciate your support.

pumphousesnow.jpg (35679 bytes)Hello to Dr. Kristin VanKonynenburg - she is finishing an assignment in Antarctica at the Palmer station. We donated a large amount of coffee & tea for the crew down there, which put a few smiles on their faces. Here are some photos of the station by Dr. VanKonynenburg.

Thanks for the kind words, Lee. We greatly appreciate your comments.
